Family Orientation
All incoming parents and family members are invited to attend Family Orientation. These events are offered in conjunction with new student orientation sessions for both incoming freshman and transfer students. These sessions are held prior to the start of fall, spring, and summer terms each year, and designed to provide parents and families of LSU students with the valuable information they need. Details covered include financial aid, health and wellness, safety, and much more. Parents and families have the opportunity to ask questions, speak with representatives from campus departments, and visit with current students and parents at the University.
To register
Each student is responsible for registering his or her parents and family members on the actual orientation application. Please note that there is no separate orientation application for parents and families. If a student does not register a family member on the student orientation application itself, family members can register onsite on the day of the student's orientation. It is important to note, however, that all students must be pre-registered for orientation.
Please contact the office of Orientation for additional details about the registration process, as well as any questions you might have about student or family orientation sessions.
We look forward to seeing you!
